The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix returns to the streets of Baku over the weekend of 24-26 September 2026, with the race moved to Saturday. Tickets for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix cover all three days of track action: two practice sessions on Thursday, final practice and qualifying on Friday, and the 51-lap Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon.

Baku City Circuit is one of the fastest street tracks on the calendar: a 6.003 km lap that threads past the medieval Old City walls before opening onto the long run along the seaside boulevard, where cars approach 350 km/h. Where you sit shapes the weekend: grandstands around the tight castle section put you close to the walls and the heavy braking zones, while seats along the start-finish straight and the boulevard trade the twists for raw top speed and several overtakes each lap.

Where it happens: Baku City Circuit

The event takes place at Baku City Circuit in Baku. Here is what to know before you travel.

Baku City Circuit is a Formula 1 street circuit running through central Baku, Azerbaijan: 6.003 km per lap, 20 turns and 51 laps over a 306.049 km race distance.

Getting there
The circuit is laid out on public streets in central Baku, so large parts of the city centre are closed to traffic over the race weekend. Public transport is the easiest way in — the metro runs close to the circuit. Check the official road-closure map before travelling.
Parking
There is no designated spectator parking at the circuit, and road closures mean you cannot drive to the gates. The organiser recommends public transport; if you must drive, the car parks at 28 Mall and along Baku White City Boulevard are the usual options, with the metro for the last stretch.
Accessibility
Wheelchair users can buy a special ticket that includes a free ticket for a companion. Dedicated viewing areas are set aside at the Absheron grandstand (section E, entry through gate A) and the Bakcell grandstand (next to gate E), where trained staff are on hand to help. Wheelchairs can be rented at the information points against a deposit or ID, and accessible toilets are located in the fan zone, the concert area and the game park. Distances between the entertainment areas can be long, and accessibility outside the circuit, in the city itself, is limited.
Bags and what you can bring
Bags are checked at the entrance and prohibited items are confiscated. Glass bottles are not allowed — you may take a plastic bottle into the stands without its cap. Also refused: alcohol, professional video cameras and lenses over 30 cm, flags on poles longer than 1 m, banners with political or offensive content, drones, scooters and skateboards, umbrellas, folding chairs, musical instruments, pyrotechnics and lasers. Assistance animals are the exception to the no-animals rule.
Entry and age
You need a valid ticket — on your phone or printed — and photo ID; each code admits one person once. Because the streets inside the circuit are closed, all six gates are reached on foot, by footbridge or underpass. Bring ear protection, and always protect children's hearing.
